The International Relations at the HEAJ
« ...the creation of a European area of higher education... », Bologna 1999;
«...the Union must become the most competitive and dynamic knowledge-based economy in the world capable of sustainable economic growth with more and better jobs and greater social cohesion. », European Council, Lisbon 2000
«... making European Union education and training systems a world quality reference by 2010.», Barcelona 2002
«...promote intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries...», 2003
All these statements from the European Union favourably meet the objectives set by the Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard in January 2006.
All types of collaboration ( research, partnership, exchanges, work placements) and cooperation (help to developing countries, intercultural meetings) in the European Union, but also with third countries all around the world, enable students and teachers of the "Haute Ecole Albert Jacquard" to acquire a reinforced social, personal and prefessional dimension.
In addition to improving knowledge and preparing students to their future professional life, our instituion wishes to develop open-mindedness and education to citizenship, that is to say to be able to live together in a democratic, pluralist and multicultural society open to the entire world.
This means to educate to tolerance, equity, to the human rights and enable every member of our community to discover other cultures while respecting and defending the right to be different.
These exchanges of all types give a stature to human beings and allow the world to develop in a spirit of mutual understanding; it's the first step towards peace.
